Courier

KHCPL is seeking a Courier. There is a part-time (20 hours/week) position available. The position will include annual, sick and holiday benefits. The rate starts at $12.40/hour (Level 8). Requirements are a high school diploma or equivalent, 1 year of relevant experience, and a valid driver’s license. The primary responsibilities are transporting materials between library locations, making purchases for departmental needs, handling mail pick up and drop offs, as well as being able to lift at least 50 pounds. Custodian

KHCPL is seeking a Custodian. There is a part-time (24 hours/week) position available. The position will include annual, sick and holiday benefits. Will include evenings and weekends. The rate starts at $12.40/hour (Level 8). Requirements are a high school diploma or equivalent, 1 year of relevant experience, and a valid driver’s license. Security Officer

We have an opportunity for a person seeking to make our library a friendly and inviting place for our community while maintaining the library Code of Conduct. The position is part-time and would require some evening and weekend shifts. We are looking for someone with experience in security, but who also realizes a library is a neutral, public space that should be open to everyone in our community. We need someone who is skilled at personal conflict resolution, has excellent integrity, and who can relate to a large, diverse public. This position is 24 hours a week, and the pay rate starts at $12.40 an hour. Candidates must have a high school diploma or equivalent and a valid Indiana driver’s license (or ability to obtain one).

Page and Clerical Positions:

Applications for library page and clerical positions are accepted at all times, even when there are no openings, and are kept active for six months. An application may be filled out at any library location, or Apply Online.

Library Page: Part-time. Starting wage is $8.48 / hour. Days and hours of work vary. In most page positions, the primary responsibility is shelving books. Other duties might include shelf reading, locating materials, affixing labels on new materials, covering paperbacks, filing, and occasionally assisting patrons.

Library Clerk: Part-time. Starting wage is $10.90 / hour. Days and hours of work vary. Clerks perform tasks in many library departments. Duties range from processing new library materials, library card registration, collecting library fines and assisting patrons with checking out.

Pre-Employment Screening Requirements:

KHCPL has a vital interest in maintaining safe, legal and efficient working conditions for its employees and patrons.
