Technology and Facilities Assistant
The Kokomo-Howard County Public Library is proud of its wonderful facilities and IT department and is seeking a Technology and Facilities Assistant. We have a full-time, 40 hour/week position available. This position will include great annual, sick and holiday benefits in addition to excellent health insurance, retirement, and life insurance. Hours include some evenings and weekends. Requirements are certification in Computer Technology/Science or Information Technology. or 1-year relevant experience, and a valid driver's license. Troubleshooting technology and facilities needs of a wide variety will be the primary function for this position. Other primary responsibilities include assisting staff with technology needs as they arise, and facility duties include landscaping and backing up custodial staff. Good customer service skills are a must for this position. The starting rate is $18.79.

Graphic Designer Assistant
The Kokomo-Howard County Public Library is looking for a creative and self-motivated individual who can work in a collaborative environment as our Graphic Design Assistant. Primary duties include assisting in the design of eye-catching marketing materials for library programming and initiatives. These will include our quarterly newsletter, program flyers, signs, and other printed and digital materials. Requirements include experience using Adobe (InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator), and Office (highlighting Excel); associate degree with graphic design or visual communication specialization is preferred. The position is 24 hrs./wk. Hours may include some evening and weekends. Benefits include excellent paid leave time, ten paid holidays, and flexible schedule. Entry-level salary starts at $16.68/hr.

Page and Clerical Positions:
Applications for library page and clerical positions are accepted at all times, even when there are no openings, and are kept active for six months. An application may be filled out at any library location, or Apply Online.
Library Page: Part-time. Starting wage is $9.08 / hour. Days and hours of work vary. In most page positions, the primary responsibility is shelving books. Other duties might include shelf reading, locating materials, affixing labels on new materials, covering paperbacks, filing, and occasionally assisting patrons.
Library Clerk: Part-time. Starting wage is $11.67 / hour. Days and hours of work vary. Clerks perform tasks in many library departments. Duties range from processing new library materials, library card registration, collecting library fines and assisting patrons with checking out.
