Courier

KHCPL is seeking a Courier. There is a part-time (20 hours/week) position available. The position will include annual, sick and holiday benefits. The rate starts at $12.40/hour (Level 8). Requirements are a high school diploma or equivalent, 1 year of relevant experience, and a valid driver’s license. The primary responsibilities are transporting materials between library locations, making purchases for departmental needs, handling mail pick up and drop offs, as well as being able to lift at least 50 pounds. Custodian

KHCPL is seeking a Custodian. There is a part-time (24 hours/week) position available. The position will include annual, sick and holiday benefits. Will include evenings and weekends. The rate starts at $12.40/hour (Level 8). Requirements are a high school diploma or equivalent, 1 year of relevant experience, and a valid driver’s license. Teen Librarian

We are looking for someone who wants to help our community become its best by providing helpful, friendly, and hospitable services within the library and the public we serve. Some of the duties include collection development of teen materials, planning and hosting events and programs, and assisting all our patrons in their quest for information and knowledge. If you are creative and yearn to engage with all people, particularly our teenage populations, and you absolutely live to tell people about the latest and greatest YA novel, then we want you to apply. Requirements include: MLS or MSLA from ALA accredited school; a valid Indiana driver’s license, or the ability to attain one; current Indiana Public Library certification, or the ability to attain one, level 3 or higher. The position is 36 hrs/wk but may go up to 40. Hours include some evening and weekends. Benefits include Health, vision and dental insurance, as well as retirement. Great leave time included. Page and Clerical Positions:

Applications for library page and clerical positions are accepted at all times, even when there are no openings, and are kept active for six months. An application may be filled out at any library location, or Apply Online.

Library Page: Part-time. Starting wage is $8.48 / hour. Days and hours of work vary. In most page positions, the primary responsibility is shelving books. Other duties might include shelf reading, locating materials, affixing labels on new materials, covering paperbacks, filing, and occasionally assisting patrons.

Library Clerk: Part-time. Starting wage is $10.90 / hour. Days and hours of work vary. Clerks perform tasks in many library departments. Duties range from processing new library materials, library card registration, collecting library fines and assisting patrons with checking out.
