Page and Clerical Positions:
Applications for library page and clerical positions are accepted at all times, even when there are no openings, and are kept active for six months. An application may be filled out at any library location, or Apply Online.
Library Page: Part-time. Starting wage is $7.47 / hour. Days and hours of work vary. In most page positions, the primary responsibility is shelving books. Other duties might include shelf reading, locating materials, affixing labels on new materials, covering paperbacks, filing, and occasionally assisting patrons.
Library Clerk: Part-time. Starting wage is $9.69 / hour. Days and hours of work vary. Clerks perform tasks in many library departments. Duties range from processing new library materials, library card registration, collecting library fines and assisting patrons with checking out.Pre-Employment Screening Requirements:
KHCPL has a vital interest in maintaining safe, legal and efficient working conditions for its employees and patrons. Therefore, following a job offer, all applicants must successfully complete a drug screening and background check prior to employment. If the position requires driving a library vehicle, a good driving record is necessary.
