About the Collection Management Department
The Collection Management Department is responsible for the ordering, receiving, binding and processing of approximately 20,000 books, videos, cassettes, CDs and CD-ROMs yearly.
Materials are cataloged using the Dewey Decimal Classification system. Once cataloged, the records are imported into the Library's online catalog, the WebPAC. Software and cataloging services used by the department are provided by Innovative Interfaces, Inc and OCLC, an international consortium of libraries which share cataloged records.
