About the IT Department
The Information Technology Department is responsible for support, repair and maintenance of all library computer systems. The department is located in the temporay location of the Main Library, 1234 N Courtland Ave, and the computer lab is located in the Main Library.
Computer Classes
Computer classes are taught in our computer lab, located in the Main Library. Class schedules can be viewed by clicking here.
What We Have
The Main Library has a computer lab with 23 public computers, all with high-speed internet access and a variety of programs to aid in research, resume writing and word processing. In addition, the computer lab offers one ADA computer for public use. There are 3 flatbed scanners and CD/DVD Burners also available for use. Located around the Main Library, patrons can use the catalog computers to look up books and access NetLibrary eBooks.
Children’s computers loaded with educational games are available at KHCPL. Children up to the age of 13 can use the computers for homework, word processing, and Internet access. In addition, KHCPL Main has three early literacy computers for children up to the age of 7.
The Genealogy & Local History Department offers 3 public computers with internet access and software to aid in research.
The Library's South Branch offers 9 public computers with high-speed internet access, as well as a flatbed scanner and CD/DVD Burner. There are also 4 public computers in the Children's Department that offer children's programs and internet access. Throughout the library you will find catalog computers to look up books and access NetLibrary eBooks.
The Library's Russiaville Branch has 4 computers for public use with high-speed internet access and a variety of programs, and one catalog computer to look up books and to access NetLibrary eBooks. There is also a flatbed scanner and CD Burner available for use. The Children's Department offers a computer with internet access and several children's programs.
