About the IT Department

The Information Technology Department is responsible for support, repair and maintenance of all library computer systems. The department is located in the Business Office of the Main Library, 220 N Union St, and the computer lab is located in the basement of the Main Library.

What We Have

The Main Library has a computer lab with 21 public computers, all with high-speed internet access and a variety of programs to aid in research, resume writing and word processing. In addition, the computer lab offers one Spanish computer and an ADA computer for public use. There is a flatbed scanner, web cam, CD Burner and 250mb Zip Drives also available for use. Located around the Main Library, patrons can use the catalog computers to look up books and access NetLibrary eBooks. The Children's Department offers 4 computers with internet access and a variety of children's programs, The Adult & Young Adult Services Department offers two research computers, and the Genealogy & Local History Services Department offers 3 public computers with internet access and software to aid in research.

The Library's South Branch offers 9 public computers with high-speed internet access, as well as a flatbed scanner and CD Burner. There are also 4 public computers in the Children's Department that offer children's programs and internet access. Throughout the library you will find catalog computers to look up books and access NetLibrary eBooks.

The Library's Russiaville Branch has 4 computers for public use with high-speed internet access and a variety of programs, and one catalog computer to look up books and to access NetLibrary eBooks. There is also a flatbed scanner and CD Burner available for use. The Children's Department offers a computer with internet access and several children's programs.
