Long Term Lovers of Howard County

Frank L. and Iva (Overman) Moorman : 71 Years
Married November 26, 1936

Frank and Iva were married on December 23, 1908, at the home of the Rev. Polly V. Couch, near Windfall, in Tipton County. They spent all of their married life in the vicinity of Phlox, where both had grown up. They were members of the New Hope Friends Church in that community. Mr. Moorman retired as a carpenter in 1957. He and Iva were the parents of a daughter, Waneta M. Smith, of near Greentown, Lee E. Moorman, of Bradenton, Florida, and a daughter, Wilberta June, who died in 1927 at the age of four. The couple also had 7 grandchildren, and 13 great-grandchildren.
