"Rusty" and Delores were married at Mellott, in Fountain County, Indiana, on June 22, 1947. The secret of their success: "Early in our marriage, Delores and I agreed that any disagreement we had would not go to bed with us. Disagreements would be settled before going to bed. It has worked for almost 55 years. We didn't get married to fight. It seems to have carried over, for we have raised 2 children who have never given us any problems whatsoever. We have 2 grand-children, both in college, who are carrying on the tradition."
