Clifford was born in 1897 in Tipton County; Golda was born in Mt. Moriah, Missouri, in 1901, but was raised in Clinton County. When Golda was sixteen, she and Clifford were married in Danville, Illinois, on February 20, 1918. They were members of Courtland Avenue Friends Church. They were the parents of Thelma (Mrs. Herbert) Wintrode, of Kokomo, and had 1 granddaughter.
