The library is planning a new series of adult programs, such as author lectures, that will be held two or three times a year. If you are interested in receiving a postcard or e-mail message with information about each program, fill out our Mailing List Form and you will be added to our list.

Indiana Ghost Program

Thursday, September 18th: 7:30 to 8:30 p.m. at KHCPL Main
Nicole and Michael Kobrowski, paranormal investigators and owners of Unseen Press, Indiana’s only paranormal book publishing and ghost-tour company, will offer a multimedia presentation about real investigations of haunted locations in Indiana. Learn about Indiana hauntings, the paranormal, and how to conduct your own investigations. Question and
answer time will be followed by book sales and signing.

Home School Friday

Friday, September 26th: 1:00 p.m. at KHCPL Main

Food For Fines
Saturday, November 1st through Sunday, November 30th at all KHCPL Locations
During the Month of November, for every $1 of fines paid, a patron may get an additional $1 of fines waived by donating a nonperishable food item. $1 + 1 Food Item = $2 in Fines Paid. (Collection agency or material replacement charges are not included.) All food collected will be distributed to local food banks.
QuitSmart Smoking Program

Tuesday, November 11th: 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. at KHCPL Main
Would YOU like to feel healthier, breathe easier, and have more energy? You can QuitSmart. Behavioral Specialist Steve Edwards, St.Joseph Trinity House, will speak with you about the QuitSmart program. Neither scare tactics, nor aversive conditioning, are used in the program. Instead, simple new methods are used to help you overcome both your physical addiction to nicotine and your psychological dependence on cigarettes.

Sally Tuttle will speak from personal experience on understanding the Native people of today in our community. Learn how Native people carry on the traditions of their community through gatherings, dances, music, and language.
